Former President Bush called all Americans to volunteer 2 years or the equivalent of 4000 hours of service to their communities over the course of their lifetime. To assist the citizens of Belvidere in fulfilling that call, the City of Belvidere has established a Citizen Corps Council. The Citizen Corps Council is a newly formed branch of the Freedom Corps and is directed by FEMA.
